Hi. My name is Chris Kenworthy, and I'm looking for a job as a programmer, database application developer, or webpage designer. This website was designed to tell a little about me and what I can offer your company!

Portfolio programs

Video store. A mid-level project from Herzing college. Features visual basic forms simulating a real-life business (video rental and sales franchise,) connecting to a Microsoft Access 97 database using Data Access Objects. Of particular relevance to my programming skills are the video management, inventory, and video return forms. I collaborated with team members on the complicated checkout form.
This ZIP version requires several ActiveX controls and DLL libraries. If you have problems with it, E-mail me at [email protected] and I will post a deployment package.
Xample compiler. A term project from York University in compiler design. This may be difficult to execute beyond the SOLARIS environment it was designed for, but it stands to demonstrate my proficiency in C module design and data structures.
Bookstore. An Access 97 database project implemented as a fully functional application.
Sheraton hotel. Final visual basic project which included examining the systems of a real-world company and developing a system for them. Includes a three-tier architecture system with an access 2000 database, a server connecting to it via ActiveX data objects, four clients (of which I only included three since I didn't do any work on the kiosk myself.) Pay attention to the server interface, the rooms management form, reservations, check-out, and the housekeeping client. (Requires Visual basic and components.)
Grocery store. Another Access 97 project.
Java picture quiz. A J++ Java applet project implementing a quiz at identifying flowers from their pictures. Demonstrates graphic and interactive response in a java applet, as well as string matching.
Bag of tricks. An odd little C++ project with classes, advanced string manipulation, and multi-layer menus.
And I have put together a bunch of catch-all ZIP archives including several examples each: Console C++, Databases, J++ Java, and Microsoft Foundation Classes C++.
